Clara Brugada Molina, Head of Government of Mexico City, emphasized that discrimination is an unacceptable crime during the commemorative event for the 14th anniversary of the Council for the Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination in Mexico City (COPRED). This Council has been fundamental in building a fairer and more equal society.
In these 14 years of tireless work, hate, discrimination, and all forms of exclusion have been fought, promoting respect for diversity and defense of the rights of all people. The principles of the government of Mexico City include absolute respect for diversity, constant dialogue with the trans community, respect for human rights, and close collaboration with civil organizations to guarantee the rights of the LGBTTTIQ+ community.

The Head of Government highlighted that Mexico City is a leader in protecting the rights and freedoms of all individuals and committed to continue working to eliminate hatred and violence, ensuring that all people in the city can live fully.
